It's free to subscribe to English Wedding - I'd love you to sign up for daily wedding ideas - just click here!. A warm welcome from me. Claire xxx

Morning everyone! How are you? It?s been an amazing weekend for me ? we were looking down from the mountains onto Britain?s (official!) favourite view on Saturday, and I could see my house in the distance. Reminds me how lucky I am! I hope you had a brilliant weekend too. I thought we?d start this week with a gorgeous wedding at Hill Place in rural Hampshire. Hannah and Ben are simply the best couple ? and their wedding photos tell the story of an incredible day. You?ll love this!

Spotted the surprise mystery guest yet? I squealed ? genuinely. It?s Herbie!!! Like, Herbie The Love Bug! More of a legend than Spiderman, Jesus and Daniel Craig all rolled into one. Oh, Herbie. (For anyone feeling bewildered right now, here?s a proper introduction to one of my childhood heroes!)

Huge congratulations to Hannah and Ben, and thanks so much for sharing your wedding with us all today. From the moment I first saw your wedding photos I was besotted ? what a wonderful day it must have been. Thank you also to wedding photographer Greg Thurtle for submitting the wedding images to the English Wedding Blog. And what a wonderful start to the week! Enjoy! Claire xxx

Wedding venue:

Hill Place, Droxford Road, Swanmore ? a Georgian country villa set within 20 acres of parkland.

Wedding photographer:

Greg Thurtle

How long did you spend planning your wedding?

18 months

Best bit of budget advice?

Do your research! Make a pin board or an ideas book of high end things you love, then have a DIY wedding party ? try and emulate those things yourself. Loads of fun, makes your wedding day much more personal AND saves thousands of pounds!

Invitations and stationery:

We made our own. I made a huge sheet of felted fabrics using the wedding colours, cut it in to squares and used them to embellish the invites. Our place cards were lolly sticks decorated with raffia and stickers, each one was individual and represented the person

Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

Yes! It was everything I thought I didn?t want at first, then I tried it on and that was it!

Glitz and sparkle: the bride?s accessories:

I wore my great Nan?s necklace on the day ? something borrowed and blue and some cheap sparkly earrings from a high street shop

The groom wore:

The full tail suit hired from Moss Bros with ivory waistcoat and cravat

Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?

I had 5 bridesmaids and one bridesman (my best friend Chris)
They wore either a pink or blue empire line, halterneck dresses ? apart from Chris!

Hair and make-up ? did you DIY or hire a professional?

I had my hair professionally done and my friend Nikki Durkin did my make up on the day

Wedding flowers:

The bouquets were from the local florist ?Hazels? in Bishops Waltham. It was a garden themed bouquet with stocks, roses and September daisies.

The flowers for the reception were pinks, cornflowers and daisies from a local wholesaler. The bridesmaids and I arranged them the day before into lots of different jugs we had collected from charity shops over the 18 months we had been planning the wedding.

The ceremony:

In St Andrews church, Meonstoke

Wedding readings?

1 Corinthians 13, and the lyrics to Led Zeppelin?s song ?Thank You?

General styling ? did your venue need much decoration?

The reception venue was so beautiful that we left the house as it was; we decorated the marquee with flowers, old vinyl records and masses of homemade bunting.

The wedding cake: traditional or quirky?

The cakes were carrot cupcakes made by my wonderful friend Helene Taylor

Entertainment:

Our best friends formed a band ?The Corrall? and performed our favourite songs, another band made up of friends ?Defy4? played too! It was perfect. We also had a homemade photo booth (just a gazebo with a camera on a timer and a load of dressing up items) as a guest book area to keep them amused!

On the day tips and advice:

Enjoy it? don?t worry about speaking to everyone and making sure they are having a good time? they will be, and will come to you. Get family and friends involved to make the day special and personal to you, and just chill?everyone else will sort out any glitches for you!
